Hey, if anyone is interested, I did find one company that offers both Talks and Mobile Speak for cell phones and they also offer a payment plan for the software, not the phones. You can pay in 6 or 12 month installments, but use the product after first payment. They also do sell some phones, but you will need to call them to find out which ones and those are considered hardware so they're not part of the payment plan.

phone = (651) 636-5184
They also carry booksense, braille embossers, and more. Also anyone who lives in the state of Minnesota is free to call to set up an appointment to come look at the products and how they work. They are in Columbia Hights mn. But, feel free to call them on anything for the phones and the platforms between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. central time.
The two best they recommend for the Verizon network are the SMT5800 and the HTC-Ozone
Otherwise most phones are Nokias and need to go through ATT or T-Mobile.

Yeah i wouldn't get the phones from them you can find better prices for the 2 verizon phones else where .. especially if you sign a 2 year contract
No, I wasn't planning to get the phones from them, but I do like the idea of a payment plan for the software.
I really wish companies like Freedom Scientific and others would do a payment plan for both software and hardware products. I don't know many sighted people that can come up with the full price of some of their products all at once up front. So, I just keep suggesting it to them and others. It would make things a lot easier, even if they just started with the software since that's easy to ship since it's on disk.
Well, I thought this might be interesting to some people who want Talks or Mobile Speak since they can pay for it over time.

Easy to ship? hell its even easier and quicker if they let us download it which most aleready do. I agree, and hopefully there will be more payment plans soon.
Awesome! So, is it true that Verizon doesn't support the Nokias that Talks supports?
i don't believe so currently but you can double check the nokia phones that verizon offers against the list of talks compatible phones. However if verizon does have a current nokia phone if its an S60 based phone it may still work with talks.
